PK Decorating is a family-run painting and decorating business based in Wimbledon with more than 20 years' experience across south-west London. We do everything from a single feature wall to the complete redecoration of a house after a renovation, and because we also offer carpentry, flooring and fitted furniture, one team can carry a project from bare plaster to finished room.
How we work
Every job starts with a free visit and a fixed-price quote in writing, so you know the cost before we start. We agree a start date and stick to it. On site, floors and furniture are covered, dust is kept down, and we leave the room usable every evening. Most clients give us a key and come home to the finished result.
Good decorating is mostly preparation. We fill, sand, seal and prime properly before any colour goes on, which is why the finish lasts. We work in Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Dulux Trade, can colour-match a Farrow & Ball shade onto a Dulux or Leyland base where budget matters, and supply a room-by-room colour schedule so you know exactly what went where.
Interior decorating
Walls, ceilings, woodwork, staircases and hallways. Plaster repair, skimming and replacing covings and ceilings. Wallpaper hanging, including feature walls and full rooms. Hand-painted kitchens and fitted wardrobes for a furniture-quality finish. Minor electrical work (lights, sockets, switches), handyman and property maintenance, and rubbish disposal so the job is finished completely.
Exterior decorating
Render and masonry painting, sash and casement windows, front doors, fascias, railings and garden fences and decking. We work around the weather and tell you honestly when a job should wait.
Moving home? Decorating before you sell or after you buy
We work with local estate agents and directly with buyers and sellers. A quick neutral repaint before your property is photographed brings more viewings and supports the asking price, and we can work back from your photography date. If you are buying, send us the Rightmove or Zoopla link while you are still conveyancing; the photos and floorplan let us send a guide price within 24 hours, and we confirm the final fixed quote after a short visit. That way colours and dates are agreed before you get the keys and we can start the day you move in.
